Quilting Craze

Skill Builder for New Quilters or Old Alike!

I am amazed at the online quilting community and having so much fun now that I am involved in it.  It is quite addicting.  The great thing is that there are so many tutorials out there.   I just stumbled upon this one. If you help her to get the word out you can possibly win some fabric.  I can't wait to get started with building y skills!

A little Chocolate a Little Fabric

Just received a package from my swap partner today!

The fabric is so cute orange and blue with little birdies with thread to match.  I can not wait to make something.  Maybe it will be for little bird!  Also she sent me an extra Fat Quarter of Black with white swirls.  Hopjes Coffee candies, a dove chocolate bar, Quino chocolate sprinkles.  I think it is a dutch treat.  She said a good layer of butter and white bread and sprinkles I think Sage will love it.  I have the coffee candy in my mouth right now.  It is delicious.  Two darling cards made by her nieces, Oh and a Canadian pin to boot!  Thanks Deanna!

Iris's Third Birthday

Sage's buddy Iris is having her third birthday this weekend.  She always enjoys wearing Sage's Apron when she comes over, so I decided to make her an apron and pot holder for her gift.  I hope she likes them...Sage does.

  • Tonight I hosted the first Craft Night.  They will continue it was a blast.  The craft I lent to everyone was glass etching.  If you brought your own glass I lent out the supplies.  We had great success.

Ashley was brave enough to try out the sewing machine.  She made an adorable bag out of the scraps I got last week.

Jolinda brought her own craft.  Her and Celeste worked on repurposing their clothing.  I am hoping Celeste will do a demonstration at our next event.  I also scored on a whole bunch of crafting supplies.  Thanks Celeste.  Next time we will have to do some patchwork with all of the fabric,

Over the years

One of the hats I made for Sage.
First Sage hat I made.  Crochetting is not really my thing.
Just wanted to post some of my older work.  This of course is not all of the craft projects I have created over the years.  Many projects go to others as gifts.  I will make a vow to myself to take pictures before I send it away in the future.  I am not a photographer and my lighting is poor so I hope you can forgive me.
Second knitted cap

First knotted cap

This is a Piggy bank I made for Sage before he was born.

Sage loves to put his coins in it.
Second sweater I made for Sage.  Made it for him to wear to his to his Tía Liz's wedding.  I can not find a picture of the first sweater.
This is Dolly Dufus that I made for the little guy.

Sage and I made this canvas floor mat last summer.

These are some of the paintings and prints I have done over the years.

This is the quilt I made after Sage was born.  It is queen sized.  It was very difficult on my Brother I got in high school.

Thanks to Martha I made this one for Meghan for her birthday this year.  I made myself one too!

These are all different jewelry pieces I have made over the years.
This is the birthday calendar I made when Bailey was born four years ago.
